Above are pastel drawings on paper. Each is made during a live Zoom session with poses ranging from 2 to 30 minutes. These fast and intuitive pieces are part of my weekly practice art. Each week for the last year I’ve joined a queer drawing session online, connecting with other artists and queer performers. Seen here are a collection of drawings of artists and performers like Body Confidence, Rubyyy Jones, and others. The result is not a figure/artist relationship but a collaborative making. These are my interactions with artists’ performances through our laptops, neither party is passive but part of the result.
